Each Piece Sold Separately

Figural forms are headstrong: when two figures butt up against each other, their tangent edges are compromised

. In the sloppy plan, each figure operates independently from its neighbor, sharing no tangent edges

. The unadulterated form shares no boundaries. The figure cannot compromise—it doesn’t know how.

The residual spaces between defined figures generate neutral zones where unpredictable behavior develops. Misbehavior is inevitable, as territorial etiquette remains undefined. As one moves through these spaces, they are consistently met with changing expectations as to how they should behave.
