LIQUIDATION
POOL MAGAZINE is soliciting talents, objects, and services as donations for auction from Thursday, April 13 - Tuesday, May 16th, 7 pm PST. All donations will be exhibited at POOL’s fundraising event: THE LIQUIDATION on Thursday, May 18th, 6:30 - 9:30 pm. Students, staff, faculty, and the AUD community are encouraged to submit auction items. Proceeds will go towards POOL’s printing and events costs.
THE SUBMISSION PROCESS
Auction item submissions can range from art and objects to offering services or showcasing talents. This event seeks to display the many abilities that AUD community members possess—meaning, the nature of submissions is open to any medium or form. You can find some examples of submissions here. Submissions must include your name, affiliation with AUD, intended auction item, and a short description. The form to submit auction items is here.
ALL INDIVIDUALS THAT COMPLETE THE SUBMISSION PROCESS WILL RECEIVE A SMALL GIFT AS A THANK-YOU FOR SUPPORTING POOL.
THE SELECTION PROCESS
We will appraise each item as we collect them and establish an agreed-upon starting bid between POOL and the submitter. POOL holds the authority to reject any submissions we deem inappropriate, or that do not abide by AUD’s code of conduct. Once submissions are final, we will coordinate the acquisition of items. POOL must be in possession of auction items no later than 10 am, Wednesday, May 17th.
THE RESULTS
All accepted submissions will be on exhibit in the Perloff Hall’s gallery. Each item will be on display with the donor's name, a short description, and the starting bid amount. Patrons will be able to browse auction items and participate in bidding. Each auction item will have autonomous bid sheets within proximity of its display.
